A municipal inspection has been conducted for the Town of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta as requested by the town council and further directed by the Minister of Alberta Municipal Affairs. The inspection found several areas for improvement in the processes and conduct of the town management, administration and operations. The inspection mandate requires the inspection to determine whether the municipality is managed in an irregular, improper or improvident manner. Several recommendations for improvements are provided, but the inspectors found that overall the municipality is not being managed in an irregular, improper or improvident manner.

These data points are sites visited by Dr. Jozsef Toth during his 1964 to 1969 fieldwork. Dr. Toth is a distinguished hydrogeologist who developed and published his landmark 'Unit Basin' theory of steady state flow leading to the fundamental concept in hydrogeology known as 'Tothian flow system theory'. His contributions to hydrogeology turned the Research Council of Alberta, and subsequently the University of Alberta, into internationally renowned institutions for hydrogeological research. All datapoints relate to the sites in Alberta Geological Survey report INF 143. Field parameters (Temperature, Electrical Conductivity, and Flow Volumes) measured or estimated were retained as attributes to the point data. The data are in ESRI shapefile format.

Digitizing was originally done by Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA). The data were supplied to AGS by PFRA in Arc/Info coverage format (map polygon features only). Data were subsequently checked and edited by AGS.

This Alberta Official Statistic shows the proportion of population by mother tongue in the eight Alberta economic regions for the 2011 Census year. Alberta is divided into eight economic regions as follows: Lethbridge – Medicine -Hat; Camrose-Drumheller; Calgary; Banff – Jasper – Rocky Mountain House; Red Deer; Edmonton; Athabasca – Grande Prairie – Peace River; and Wood Buffalo – Cold Lake. Mother tongue refers to the first language learned at home in childhood and still understood by the person on May 10, 2011. Non-official languages are languages other than English or French. According to the 2011 census, 77.8% of Albertans reported English as their mother tongue, followed by a non-official language (20.1%), and French (2.1%). The Red Deer economic region reported the highest proportion of Albertans with English as a mother tongue (89.7%) and the lowest proportion of Albertans with a non-official language as a mother tongue (8.9%), while Calgary reported the lowest proportion...
