This mission focused on key jurisdictions involved in the exploration of a potential low carbon fuel standard for the Eastern United States. This initial engagement included meetings with various government and non-government groups in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The Honourable Rob Renner, Minister of Environment, led a mission to London, United Kingdom, Brussels, Belgium and Strasbourg, France, May 15-21, 2010. The central theme of the mission was clean energy. With a growing global focus on Alberta’s energy interests, including the development of provincial oil sands, this mission provided an opportunity to engage with European policy makers around efforts underway in the province to promote clean energy technology and sustainable energy development.
