Description
Discusses the results of a survey of a representative cross-section of the groundwater community in Canada (including regulators, consultants, researchers and users) to obtain their views on the current state of groundwater knowledge in the country and needs for knowledge enhancement, groundwater governance, the linkage between surface water and groundwater and, very briefly, the level of research being carried out in the university setting. The findings of this survey are intended to provide insight into the major issues facing groundwater management and governance in Canada and lead to improvements in how this resource is considered in the future.
