Presents the findings of an investigation into a workplace fatality in the construction and construction trades sector that occurred in January, 2010. A 29-year old male worker was installing siding on the gable end of a new two storey home. During the work process the worker fell from an improperly-installed pump jack scaffold system 6.3 meters to the ground. A 39-year old male worker, employed as a pipelayer, stopped a loader to speak to the operator at the location when another loader was moving excavated materials. The second loader backed into the stopped loader. The worker was crushed between the two loaders. A 48-year old male worker, employed as a painter, was painting the upper gable end of a new house under construction. He was on an unsecured ladder placed on the sloped roof of the garage. A 42-year old male worker was assisting two electricians replacing a contractor unit in a 4160 volt circuit breaker panel. The contractor unit contacted the live supply section due to a broken weld. Presents the findings of an investigation into a workplace fatality in the construction and construction trades sector that occurred in June, 2007. A 33-year old male worker, employed as a labourer, was fatally injured when a gravel truck got stuck at a residential construction site. A second truck was brought in and pulled the truck out by attaching a towing strap to the front ends of both trucks. The strap was removed from the second truck and it left the scene. The worker was apparently removing the strap from the first truck when the truck driver moved forward without knowing the worker was in front. The driver could not see the worker and drove over him. A 20-year old male worker, employed as a truck driver, was slowly moving a truck with two attached trailers to a wash bay in the yard. The worker was steering the rear trailer from controls on the side of the trailer. The worker was run over by the rear wheels of the trailer.
