Description
The Alberta Cannabis Framework outlines what Albertans can expect when cannabis becomes legal in the province by July 2018. The Framework was created for and by Albertans, and is founded on four policy priorities: keeping cannabis out of the hands of children; protecting public health; promoting safety on roads, in workplaces and in public spaces; and limiting the illegal market for cannabis. The Framework paints a picture of what legalization in Alberta may look like after proposed federal legislation becomes law. This document will guide government as it considers all aspects of legalization, with a sharp focus on public safety and protecting the health of all Albertans.
