Every two years, Advanced Education commissions a survey of post-secondary graduates in order to collect information that will inform strategic planning and results reporting regarding graduate demographics, satisfaction, financing of education, outcomes, and changes over time. This report presents the findings of the survey of 2020-2021 academic year graduates from private career colleges.

A student cohort is a group of students who are registered in a specific grade at a public, separate, Francophone, charter, provincial, federal or accredited private school. Service regions are defined areas of the province that provide a framework for better understanding local factors relating to learning and programming at a regional level. In consultation with stakeholders, regional boundaries were drawn based on Dissemination Area (DA) boundaries and the area generally served by Comprehensive Community Institutions.

These datasets track the percentage of students that completed any credential program within the completion timeline given the number of students in the completing cohort by institutions and credential-program type combination. The datasets thus employ a "backward tracking" algorithm to determining completion rates: cohorts are determined by the year the students are supposed to complete their programs, not by the year they start their programs. Separate datasets are provided at the institutional level and sector level for all students and for full-time students.
