Description

The objective of this four-year project (2024-2028) is to build a new French-language secondary school (Grade 7 to Grade 12) in Airdrie. In addition, the province will use this opportunity to enhance the vitality of the Francophone community by including a dedicated performance venue in the secondary school. This dedicated space within the secondary school premises will be able to accommodate various performing arts activities and serve as a multipurpose performance venue.

The provincial construction program is released in coordination with the Government of Alberta's annual budget. Each annual issue includes major capital projects, capital maintenance and renewal projects, and water management projects scheduled for the next three fiscal years, and slide repair projects scheduled for the next fiscal year. Please note that the provincial construction program is subject to change, and projects may move on or off the construction program based on emerging needs, changing construction schedules, or available funding. New projects may be added during the year to address in-year emerging needs.

L’entente fournit un mécanisme en vertu duquel le gouvernement fédéral assume une partie des frais engagés par les provinces et les territoires relativement à la prestation des programmes d’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et des programmes d’enseignement de la langue seconde.

The Inclusive Spaces Program Grant supports licensed child care providers (excluding out-of-school care programs) in creating more inclusive and accessible environments for all children. Funding is available for minor capital improvements and renovations of existing facilities to improve their accessibility, such as wheelchair ramps and elevators, as well as for projects that promote belonging and equity for children from diverse cultural, social, or linguistic backgrounds, such as purchasing multi-cultural literature and resources and developing sensory-friendly spaces.
