Approximately every two years, the Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture Tracking Survey is administered to monitor farm-level awareness and adoption of environmentally sustainable agriculture (ESA) practices in Alberta. Survey results are used to aid the government in improving ESA programs and activities to further encourage producers to adopt best management practices.

Every two years, Agriculture and Forestry (AF) sponsors a farm-level survey to track changes in adoption of environmentally sustainable agriculture (ESA) practices in Alberta. The survey results provide valuable information about ESA progress in Alberta and helps AF efforts to improve ESA programs and activities to encourage producers to adopt environmentally sustainable agriculture practices. The Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture Tracking Survey measures Alberta producers’ adoption of ESA practices.
