Fuel suppliers that wish to acquire fuel dye from a company that is not on this list should have that company contact Tax and Revenue Administration. Please refer to the CURRENT version.

This fact sheet provided by Tax and Revenue Administration (TRA) announces that the Alberta Farm Fuel Distribution Allowance (AFFDA) program was discontinued on March 7, 2013 as part of Budget 2013. The changes made apply only to the AFFDA portion of the Alberta Farm Fuel Benefit (AFFB) program. The Government of Alberta continues to provide the tax exemption of $0.09/litre to eligible agricultural producers.

This document provided by Tax and Revenue Administration (TRA) contains the terms and conditions for the Lloydminster Competitive Adjustment Grant. This grant was available to eligible fuel retailers in Lloydminster, related to fuel tax and carbon levy differences between Alberta and Saskatchewan. Note: Bill 1, An Act to Repeal the Carbon Tax, received Royal Assent on June 4, 2019. The carbon levy no longer applies to any type of fuel as of the beginning of the day on May 30, 2019. Accordingly, the Lloydminster Competitive Adjustment Grant was discontinued effective 12:01 am on May 30, 2019. For more information, visit: alberta.ca/carbon-levy.aspx.
