Description

Presents results of a study aiming to explore the lived experiences of English language learning working women as they relate to health and safety. Study findings contribute to an evidence-based understanding of workplace psychosocial hazards to the wellbeing and health of English language learner women workers. The overall goal of the study was to consider how to mitigate and prevent harm caused by workplace psychosocial hazards and explore if there are workplace hazards that may disproportionately impact ELL women workers.

The researchers aim was to work toward formalizing guidelines for TCT optimization that would consider safety and time and cost constraints related to the expedition of construction projects. It is postulated that having guidelines and analysis tools such as these may decrease hazardous situations and safety risks that have been associated with expedition of construction project schedules.

Contains the results, conclusions, and recommendations from a three-year funded study of psychosocial health outcomes and factors in the non-profit child and family services sector in Alberta. The report describes two surveys (2015 and 2017) of three health outcomes (job satisfaction, overall health, and levels of stress). The second survey also measured the effect of a year of intervention activities by the project in the sector. The main finding is that an information-based, systematic approach to wellness (psychological health) holds promise for increasing the capacity for wellness in the entire industry.
