This report provides a summary of key research findings and recommendations resulting from a survey of Albertans on the topic of elder abuse. The survey administered a questionnaire to 1,603 Albertans aged 18 years and older, with an oversample of seniors, between March 14 and 29, 2018.

The Supreme Court of Canada ruled that medical assistance in dying will become legal in Canada on June 6, 2016. This ruling has created broad and sensitive questions that the Government of Alberta needs to consider in regulating the delivery of medical assistance in dying. To help determine the best response, an MLA Consultation Panel was set up to gather input from Albertans. The Panel solicited input through an online survey, written submissions, and meetings with stakeholders. This document presents a summary of the feedback the Panel received during the consultation process.

This resource presents the findings of a2002 survey which aimed to measure the public’s opinion, beliefs, and knowledge of various aspects of HIV, Hepatitis C and sexually transmitted diseases. The survey was the ninth in a series of studies conducted for Alberta Health and Wellness by the Population Research Laboratory at the University of Alberta, and expands the focus from HIV/AIDS to include Hepatitis C and sexually transmitted diseases.
