This project consists of offering Campus Saint-Jean students enrolled in a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Science in bilingual Nursing, and the Health Care Aides Program the opportunity to respond to the high demand for bilingual teachers and health personnel in rural areas by carrying out practicum placements in rural areas. This project is funded under the Canada–Alberta Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second-Language Instruction 2018-2019: Amending Agreement.

Ce projet est financé dans le cadre de l’Entente modificatrice à l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2018-2019.

Ce projet est financé dans le cadre de l’Entente modificatrice à l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2018-2019.

Provides policy direction for post-secondary institutions and other adult learning providers that reflects and supports the Adult Learning System Vision and Principles. This includes policy direction on institutional roles, mandates, relationships with each other, with government, and to some extent with their communities. The framework differentiates the publicly-funded post-secondary system in Alberta into six sectors and assigns each of the 26 publicly-funded institutions to one of the sectors, providing descriptions of the programming, research and collaboration mandates of each sector.

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program nominates individuals for permanent residence. Nominees must have skills and abilities to fill job shortages in Alberta, and be able to provide for their families over the long term. International graduates can apply to the program if they graduated from an approved Alberta post-secondary institution and are working on a post-graduation work permit. To help international students find out whether their education and work experience is well-matched with current skill shortages in Alberta, the province keeps a list of post-secondary programs called the Alberta Opportunity Stream List of Alberta Advanced Education Approved Post-Secondary Credentials.
