This resource contains statistics illustrating the current state of apprenticeship and industry training in Alberta. The statistics include numbers of registered apprentices, technical training attendance and credentials issued. Current data is presented with historical data to illustrate trends over time.

Graduates from Alberta's publicly funded post-secondary institutions are followed over time to study the dynamics of their income. Income information is collected by linking enrolment data to tax information in years following graduation. The data is aggregated and presented as a median one, two, five and ten years after graduation The results are broken down by year of graduation, credential and field of study.

Description

These datasets track the percentage of students that completed any credential program within the completion timeline given the number of students in the completing cohort by institutions and credential-program type combination. The datasets thus employ a "backward tracking" algorithm to determining completion rates: cohorts are determined by the year the students are supposed to complete their programs, not by the year they start their programs. Separate datasets are provided at the institutional level and sector level for all students and for full-time students.
