To better understand the climate of sexual and gender-based violence experienced by post-secondary students in Alberta, the Campus Climate Survey on Sexual and Gender-based Violence commissioned a survey across 26 publicly-funded Alberta post-secondary institutions. This report summarizes the responses to the survey.

Post-Secondary Transition Rate (4 year) is the percentage of students in the grade 10 cohort who have entered a post-secondary-level program at an Alberta post-secondary institution or registered in an Alberta apprenticeship program within four years of entering grade 10, adjusted for attrition. An estimate of out-of-province post-secondary enrollment is applied based on the numbers of funded Alberta students attending post-secondary institutions out of province.

A student cohort is a group of students who are registered in a specific grade at a public, separate, Francophone, charter, provincial, federal or accredited private school. Service regions are defined areas of the province that provide a framework for better understanding local factors relating to learning and programming at a regional level. In consultation with stakeholders, regional boundaries were drawn based on Dissemination Area (DA) boundaries and the area generally served by Comprehensive Community Institutions.

Through this program, adults have the opportunity to return to learning to meet their personal learning or employment goals. This report demonstrates the achievements of CALP in addressing adult literacy and foundational learning needs in Alberta. It is also a valuable resource for Advanced Education as well as funded organizations throughout the province to observe the impact of the program.
