Description

Information on the number of confirmed farmed herds or flocks affected by reportable and notifiable diseases in Alberta. Reportable diseases are those that are a serious threat to public health or animal health and can cause serious economic, political and social impacts to the livestock industry and/or the province. These diseases require action to control or eradicate. Notifiable diseases are diseases of concern that do not require action, but should be monitored to establish prevalence or trends.

Description

To assist with primary health care planning, Alberta Health has developed a series of reports to provide a broad range of demographic, socio-economic and population health statistics considered relevant to primary health care for communities across the province. These community profiles provide information at the Zone and Local Geographic Area (LGA) level for each of the 132 LGAs in Alberta. Each Profile offers an overview of the current health status of residents in the LGA, indicators of the area's current and future health needs, and evidence as to which quality services are needed on a timely basis to address the area's needs. The profiles are intended to highlight areas of need and provide relevant information to support the consistent and sustainable planning of primary health services.

Detailed estimates for international visitors are not available at the provincial and tourism regional level due to small sample sizes and limited data from the Visitor Travel Survey (VTS). Detailed characteristics are only available for Canadian visitors.

Monthly notice of the general rate of timber dues for timber that is used to make lumber, pulp or roundwood products, including the portion of dues collected by the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta ("FRIAA"). Timber dues and other fees associated with timber dispositions are collected by the province to ensure that Albertans receive fair compensation for the use of publicly-owned forest resources. The timber dues rates applied are based on current market and financial conditions are can be found in Table 1 of the Timber Dues Ministerial Order. NOTE: previously issued under the title General Rates of Timber.
