Albertans have raised concerns about the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Safety Standards Regulation. As a result, a Consultation Team was appointed to oversee an engagement on what the safety standards should be for people receiving services through PDD and who they should apply to. This survey was developed to better understand your opinions on safety in the homes of Albertans receiving PDD program supports. This will help the Consultation Team identify solutions that foster safety in the community and affirm the rights of persons with developmental disabilities to live with dignity and opportunity in the community while recognizing and respecting their need for safe, healthy and supported lives.

The report also summarizes survey results from 800 Calgary employers, who were asked about their recruitment and employment practices for persons with disabilities. It demonstrates the progress that has been made and the work that still needs to be done to fully integrate and include this population in the workforce.
