The Registrar has a number of statutory accountabilities related to managing apprenticeship education programs and industry training programs, registering apprentices, and issuing credentials. The purpose of this document is to provide system partners with an overview of some of the key activities of the Registrar in the 2022-23 fiscal year.

This policy manual aims to provide policy guidance to Advanced Education staff, educational institutions, students and other stakeholders regarding the Foundational Learning Assistance program. The program provides full-time and part-time opportunities for low-income Albertans, who are unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week, to participate in programs of study that increase knowledge and develop skills to prepare them for further education, training, and/or sustainable employment. The Program replaces the Learner Income Support program and the Skills Investment Bursary program.
