Description

The intent of this Letter of Agreement is for the Governments of Alberta and Canada as well as Indigenous communities in the oil sands region to endorse the Operational Framework Agreement and to confirm the commitments made to govern the Oil Sands Monitoring Program in a manner consistent with the memorandum of understanding, including that the treaty and aboriginal rights of Indigenous people are recognized and affirmed as per section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982.
