This document outlines the broad framework for student tuition and fees, which encompasses statutory, regulatory and policy requirements for institutions, government, and student associations. It provides a high-level understanding of what is required from each, allowing for students, institutions and the public to know the parameters of tuition policy in Alberta.

Under the Post-Secondary Learning Act, the boards of all public post-secondary institutions and independent academic institutions must enter into an investment management agreement with the Minister of Advanced Education. These agreements must include the mandate of the institution, performance metrics for the institution, and anything else determined by the Minister. The agreements are the primary accountability instrument of a performance-based funding model for Alberta's post-secondary system and incentivize institutions to work collectively to achieve the goals of Alberta 2030. This record contains all signed investment management agreements for the period 2022-2025.

The final report from the Research Commercialization Working Group (RCWG) was developed by experts from academia and industry, together with government. The RCWG’s mandate was to deliver on Goal 3 of Alberta 2030: Support Innovation and Commercialization, and provide input to the Alberta Technology and Innovation Strategy. Recommended action items within the report include: coordinating government funding on RCWG priority research sectors; developing an intellectual property (IP) framework that aligns IP policies, raises awareness of IP, and creates collaboration/hand-off opportunities to industry; and convening ecosystem players regularly and often to enhance research partnership potential. The full list of priority and supporting action items can be found in the report.

This report presents the findings of the survey of 2019/2020 academic year graduates from credit parchment programs from publicly-funded post-secondary institutions, excluding the Banff Centre.

Every two years, Advanced Education commissions a survey of post-secondary graduates called the Graduate Outcomes Survey, to collect information that is used to inform strategic planning and results reporting, both for the Province and for post-secondary institutions. The project also included the Employment Success Survey, which is fielded to supervisors of employed graduates, to acquire information about the skills and knowledge of recent graduates and to what extent they match the types of skills and knowledge that employers require in employees.
