Presents information on how to carry out hazard assessments and to control workplace hazards to meet legislated requirements. The hazard assessment and control process provides a consistent approach for employers and workers to identify and control hazards in the workplace, allowing all parties to focus their efforts in the right areas, and to develop worker training, inspections, emergency response plans, etc., specific to the hazards at their work sites.

The Palliative and End-of Life Care Grant Fund provides grant funding for projects that support four government priorities to advance palliative and end-of-life care initiatives in Alberta. These priorities include earlier access, education and training, community supports and services, and research and innovation. As of November 18, 2021, eligible applicants can apply for grant funding. The deadline for project submissions is January 7, 2022. Documents in this package include a guide with eligibility criteria and other information to assist applicants in the preparation and completion of the grant application, and the application form itself.

This manual supersedes the Health Capital Planning Manual, 3rd Edition.

Description

The Government of Alberta will provide one-time funding assistance to eligible organizations who own or operate a public facility and whose mandate includes a cultural, religious, spiritual, or ceremonial component. Funding will help offset the costs incurred to relaunch gatherings while following Alberta’s public health measures. This would include facility space changes to create no-contact areas, better ventilation, procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE), contracted cleaning services, technology upgrades for online delivery of services and language translation of health related signage.
