Let's Resolve is an innovative program that provides mediation and dispute resolution support to municipalities who want to improve how they deal with conflict. Through the CGI, the Municipal Dispute Resolution Services (MDRS) team can help municipalities assess whether collaborative governance is an appropriate fit and help convene the process and ensure all the prerequisites are in place.

The toolkit is an accessible “how to” manual for maintaining good relationships with an emphasis on collaborative processes.

Four municipalities have taken the first steps towards the development of a system to resolve intermunicipal planning disputes. Sturgeon County, the City of Edmonton, the City of St. Albert and the Town of Morinville joined in a collaborative spirit to develop the system that focuses on intermunicipal land-use planning but could be used for other types of disputes.
