These guidelines outline the eligibility criteria, the application process, and the responsibilities of successful applicants for the Innovation Catalyst Grant. The ICG is a panAlberta entrepreneurial fellowship designed to support recent graduates of a master's or PhD-level science, technology, engineering and math programs looking to develop a technology/products to bring to the market.

The Major Innovation Fund is an outcomes-focused program intended to build capacity and create Alberta-institution-led projects and initiatives which are designed to support research and technology development of strategic value at Alberta's post-secondary institutions. The program supports the research and commercialization priorities set out in the Alberta Technology and Innovation Strategy.

Description

These datasets track the percentage of students that completed any credential program within the completion timeline given the number of students in the completing cohort by institutions and credential-program type combination. The datasets thus employ a "backward tracking" algorithm to determining completion rates: cohorts are determined by the year the students are supposed to complete their programs, not by the year they start their programs. Separate datasets are provided at the institutional level and sector level for all students and for full-time students.

The report discusses the GoA’s research investments in the 2012/2013 fiscal year (April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013) and captures the research spending of any merged or new ministries. The Innovation and Advanced Technologies Division collected feedback from respondent Alberta government ministries and agencies to determine how to improve the Government of Alberta Research Investments Survey and incorporated necessary changes in the 2012/2013 survey. This document summarizes the findings on research investment information from Government of Alberta ministries, departments, and agencies.
