Description

This re-entry plan for Early Childhood Services to Grade 12 (ECS-12) is part of the Alberta government's relaunch strategy that was announced on April 30, 2020. It considers three scenarios that could exist when the 2020-2021 school year begins in September. The Minister of Education announced on July 21 that schools will welcome students under scenario 1 — near-normal daily operations with health measures. Update: November 2020 diploma exams will be optional due to COVID-19. More information on diploma exams is available at https://www.alberta.ca/diploma-exams.aspx. This project aims to develop a toolkit to encourage French-speaking junior and senior high school and post-secondary students in the Edmonton area to choose teaching French immersion or French as a second language as a career path. This project is funded under the Canada–Alberta Agreement on Minority-Language Education and Second Official-Language Instruction 2019-20 to 2022-23, which includes a commitment to improving francophone and French-language teacher recruitment and retention.

Le but du projet est de créer une trousse d’outils pour inciter les élèves du secondaire 1er et 2e cycles ainsi que les étudiants universitaires qui parlent français, dans la région d’Edmonton, à choisir l’enseignement en français dans les programmes d’immersion française ou de français langue seconde comme voie de carrière. Ce projet sera financé dans le cadre de l’Entente Canada-Alberta relative à l’enseignement dans la langue de la minorité et à l’enseignement de la langue seconde 2019-2020 à 2022-2023, qui inclut un engagement pour une amélioration continue de recrutement et rétention d’enseignants francophones et de français langue seconde.

Ce manuel Éducation hors établissement (2019) remplace le manuel Éducation hors établissement (2011) et reflète les révisions apportées aux politiques et procédures d'Alberta Education. Le manuel Éducation hors établissement (2019) fournit des conseils pour la mise en œuvre de programmes d'éducation hors établissement afin d'aider les autorités scolaires à offrir une expérience d'éducation hors établissement sécuritaire et bienveillante à tous les élèves qui participent à ces programmes. Les pratiques suggérées et recommandées s'appuient sur des procédures et des stratégies qui ont été utilisées avec succès par des éducateurs chevronnés en Alberta.

It provides guidance for implementing off-campus education programs and supports school authorities in offering a safe and caring off-campus education experience for all students participating in these programs. Suggested and recommended practices are based on procedures and strategies used successfully by experienced educators in Alberta. This 2019 edition replaces the Off-campus Education Handbook (2011) and reflects revisions to Alberta Education's policies and procedures.
