Significant changes have been made to the import protocol for the transport of domestic cervids from Saskatchewan into Alberta for slaughter. Based upon risk mitigation principles, and cognisant of the spread of chronic wasting disease into Alberta, distinctions are drawn for travel to slaughter through chronic wasting disease endemic or non-endemic areas.

Represents the agreement between the Minister of Environment and Protected Areas and the Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA), clarifying the roles and responsibilities of each in respect to ARMA's administration and oversight of the matters described in the Extended Producer Responsibility Regulation. The agreement also: sets out matters that the Minister considers advisable in the public interest relating to ARMA's activities under the regulation; provides for an accountability framework between parties; clarifies the administrative, financial, working and reporting relationships between the parties; and promotes openness and transparency to serve the public interest.
