Describes the conditions under which meat is slaughtered, processed, stored and transported to ensure food safety. The Meat Facility Standards is a policy document legislated by the Meat Inspection Regulation, which requires the licensed operator to comply with the MFS. It describes the minimum regulatory requirements for the facility environment and for food production controls.

The strategy outlines priority actions to address labour force issues and challenges experienced by the forest industry. Industry and labour groups are best positioned to implement these strategies over Government will enable and support contributing organizations with the implementation wherever appropriate. A Workforce Strategy for Alberta’s Forest Industry was developed by stakeholders from the forest industry with support from the Alberta government. Representatives from this industry participated in a series of discussions that occurred between 2007 and early 2008 and the feedback from those meetings formed this strategy.
