Description

Results from an aerial ungulate survey conducted in Alberta’s Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 522 from January 20 to 24, 2020. The objective of the survey was to assess the status of the ungulate (moose, white-tailed deer, mule deer) population in WMU 522 by estimating abundance, density and the age-sex composition. An additional objective was to provide a baseline population assessment of elk by means of directed total counts.
