Each year the ministry coordinates a survey of Albertans on topics related to the work of the ministry. Topics covered in the various surveys include: arts and culture, volunteering, cultural industries, heritage sites, gender-based violence, and recreation and sport. Usage Considerations

Prior to 2022, the Survey of Albertans was conducted as a telephone-only survey. In 2022, an online survey component was introduced for the Survey of Albertans.

The 2022 telephone Survey of Albertans contained performance metric questions-only. The 2022 online survey contained all of the questions in the Survey of Albertans.

The telephone and online survey data are not comparable, due to different surveying methodologies.
