Code of conduct and ethics for the Public Service of Alberta

Description

The people of Alberta have a right to a public service which is conducted with impartiality and integrity. It is this special obligation to Albertans that demands that there not be, nor seem to be, any conflict between the private interests of employees and their duty to the public. At the same time, it is recognized that employees should enjoy the same rights in their private dealings as any other citizens unless it can be demonstrated that a restriction is essential to the public interest. This Code of Conduct and Ethics applies to all Alberta Public Service employees.
