Environmental monitoring technician training for First Nations and Métis communities in oil sands regions, Alberta : program report 2016-2017 pilot year

Description

Indigenous communities in the oil sands region have expressed the desire to be equipped to participate in environmental monitoring and help answer their own questions about changes on the land. This report provides a look back at delivery of the Environmental Monitoring Technician Training Pilot in 2016-17, highlighting the success, challenges, observations and learnings. As part of a continuous improvement process, this information will help shape design and delivery in 2017-18 and the full program review after Year Three.
