This manual will assist returning officers and other election officials in municipalities across Alberta with their election processes and procedures. This document may also be accessed by members of the public and potential candidates who are seeking to better understand the election process. The manual is to be used in conjunction with the Local Authorities Election Act and follows the various procedures as set out in legislation.
