Description

The soil survey report for the County of Forty Mile begins with a general description of the county and summarizes the 28 land systems, followed by a general description of the soils and mapping methods. Part 3 of the report describes the soils in the county and provides a framework for the detailed legend provided in Appendix I. Part 4 provides interpretations of land capability for dryland agriculture, irrigation capability, grazing capability, wind erosion risk, and water erosion risk. This part also discusses soil degradation. Includes eight separate soil maps.
