Description

Represents the forest management agreement (FMA) signed between the Crown and Weyerhaeuser Company Limited. The Weyerhaeuser FMA is located in west-central Alberta (Forest Management Unit G16) and spans the alpine, subalpine, montane, upper foothills, lower foothills, dry mixedwood and central mixedwood natural sub-regions. An FMA provides the company with rights to harvest and reforest trees on Crown land, and ensures activities are carried out in a sustainable manner. The Agreement duration is from May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2022. The original agreement commenced on January 3, 1969.
