Report of the Task Force on the Criminal Justice System and its Impact on the Indian and Metis People of Alberta

Description

The Task Force was appointed in January 1990 to complete a review of the criminal justice system in Alberta as it relates to Indian and Métis people and to provide a report for the Solicitor General of Canada and the Solicitor General of Alberta, which identifies any problems and proposes solutions to ensure the Indian and Métis people receive fair, just and equitable treatment at all stages of the criminal justice process in Alberta. This report on the work of the Task Force on the Criminal Justice System lists the terms of reference and the recommendations made concerning Indian and Métis people in Alberta.
