That to fill the vacancy from a councillor resignation that occurred on December 15, 2023, the number of days for the City of Chestermere to hold a by-election pursuant to Section 165 of the MGA, be extended from 120 days to 229 days after the vacancy occurred.

That the council for the City of Chestermere, following the restoration of council quorum, is required to provide to the Minister, no later than September 30, 2024, a plan for the completion of the following Directives: a. Directive 1, b. Directive 3a, c. Directive 3b, d. Directive 6a, e. Directive 6b, f. Directive 7, and g. Directive 11; 3. That the deadlines for the completion of the Directives included in section 2 of this order are extended to January 31, 2025.

Pursuant to Sections 242, 245, 353, and 587 of the Municipal Government Act, make the following order: 1. That the detailed and all-inclusive estimates for the 2024 budget for Improvement District No. 12 be adopted; 2. That the rates of taxation on the assessed value of property as shown on the assessment roll be levied as set out in the Ministerial Order; 3. That the minimum amount payable as property tax for general municipal taxes is $25; 4. That the date current penalties will be imposed on outstanding taxes in Improvement District No. 12 for the 2024 taxation year is October 1, 2024; 5. A current penalty of 12 per cent will be added to the current taxes remaining unpaid after October 1, 2024; 6. An arrears penalty of 12 per cent will be added to all tax arrears unpaid on January 1, 2025.
