Description

This addendum outlines Forest Management Plan-specific ground rules which apply to area outlined in Forest Management Agreements 0100038 and 2100047 and forest management units C04, C02, C01, B01, B02 and B12. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules. Where a rule in this addendum and a rule in the provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the addendum governs. FMP-specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes.

In October 2020, Alberta and Canada signed the Agreement for the Conservation and Recovery of the Woodland Caribou in Alberta to facilitate woodland caribou recovery in Alberta. Alberta is committed to the implementation of this Agreement which supports provincial caribou recovery efforts including landscape-level planning, habitat conservation, management and recovery planning, caribou mortality and population management and caribou population and habitat monitoring. Alberta and Canada agreed to regularly report on the progress towards the commitments in this Agreement. These reports provide summaries of progress made and actions undertaken.

This addendum outlines forest management plan-specific ground rules which apply to the area outlined in Forest Management Agreement 8900026. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules 2024. Where a rule in the addendum and a rule in the provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the addendum governs.
