Table 1.2 shows zone-level health status indicators compared to the province for the two most recent calendar years available.For each healthcare status indicator, the table shows percentage of males or female affected, for the Zone compared to Alberta. The healthcare status indicators described in this table include the following: Body Mass Index (Normal Weight, Over Weight, Obese), Mental Health before (2019) and during (2020) COVID ( Excellent/Very Good/Good, Fair/ Poor), Smoking(Daily/occasional smokers, Never/former smokers), Self-Perceived Stress Tolerance (Excellent/Very Good, Poor/Fair/Good). This Children and Family Services dataset provides an overview of the number of children and youth receiving child intervention services by type of care and sex.   Child intervention services are focused on the well-being of children, supporting families to be healthy and ensuring children grow up in safe and nurturing homes.   The data shows the average monthly number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous children and youth in the province who are receiving child intervention services. More specifically, it shows the number in temporary care, permanent care and receiving services while at home (not in care) with historical information dating back ten years. There is a further breakdown by the number of children served by sex.   Information is available through the links listed below as aggregate data in excel, as visualizations in CI Interactive Data Tool and as descriptions of data fields and elements in the Data Dictionary.

This Children and Family Services dataset provides an overview of the number of children and youth receiving post-intervention supports through Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP) Agreements, by sex. TAP Agreements are available to young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who were involved with child intervention services to help support them in fully reaching their independence. Support is most often financial, but may also include community supports along with the assistance of a caseworker.   The data shows the average monthly number of young adults in the province who are receiving post-intervention support through a TAP Agreement. More specifically, it shows the number by sex with historical information dating back ten years.   TAP was implemented in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, and fully replaces Support and Financial Assistance Agreements (SFAA). Post-18 Intervention caseload statistics include both TAP and SFAA depending on the fiscal year selected.  ...

This table provides inpatient separations made by local area residents to the top three accessed non-local facilities. The data is provided for the most recent fiscal year available. The data is provided for the most recent fiscal year available. An inpatient separation from a health care facility occurs anytime a patient (or resident) leaves because of death, discharge, sign-out against medical advice or transfer. The number of separations is the most commonly used measure of the utilization of hospital services. Separations, rather than admissions, are used because hospital abstracts for inpatient care are based on information gathered at the time of discharge. This indicator dataset contains information at both Local Geographic Area (for example, Lacombe, Red Deer, Calgary West Bow, etc.) and Alberta levels.
