This Children and Family Services dataset provides an overview of the number of children and youth receiving post-intervention support through the Supports for Permanency (SFP) Program, by Sex. The program provides financial support to families who adopt or obtain private guardianship of children in permanent government care.   The data shows the average monthly number of children and youth in the province who are receiving post-intervention support through the SFP program. This Children and Family Services dataset provides an overview of the number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous children and youth achieving a permanency outcome. The child intervention system is part of Alberta’s system of support for families that encourages good outcomes for children and youth.   Child intervention services are focused on the well-being of children, supporting families to be healthy, and ensuring children grow up in safe and nurturing homes. This Children and Family Services dataset provides an overview of the number of children and youth receiving post-intervention support through Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP) Agreements, by Indigenous status (Indigenous and Non-Indigenous). Young adults aged 18 to 24 who were previously involved with child intervention may be eligible for ongoing supports through TAP Agreements. This Children and Family Services dataset provides an overview of the number of children and youth receiving post-intervention supports through Transition to Adulthood Program (TAP) Agreements, by sex. TAP Agreements are available to young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who were involved with child intervention services to help support them in fully reaching their independence. Support is most often financial, but may also include community supports along with the assistance of a caseworker.   The data shows the average monthly number of young adults in the province who are receiving post-intervention support through a TAP Agreement. More specifically, it shows the number by sex with historical information dating back ten years.   TAP was implemented in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, and fully replaces Support and Financial Assistance Agreements (SFAA). This data set reflects child care programs in Alberta licensed under the Child Care Licensing Act (prior to February 2021) and under the Early Learning and Child Care Act (February 2021 and after).   Data prior to February 2021 included reflects child care programs in Alberta licensed under the Child Care Licensing Act. Program types under the Child Care Licensing Act included day care programs, out-of-school care programs, preschool programs, group family child care, family day homes (approved by a licensed family day home agency), and innovative child care programs.   In February 2021, child care licensing changed from program-based to facility-based under the Early Learning and Child Care Act. Local geographic area refers to 132 geographic areas created by Alberta Health (AH) and Alberta Health Services (AHS) based on census boundaries.
